  1. This HELP file is designed to help you in deciding
  2. what actions to take when filesystem space needs to
  3. be adjusted, mainly increased.  
  4.  
  5. The thing to watch, through the Filesystem Status
  6. off the System Menu of Admin, is the 'capacity' 
  7. percentage, the recommended ratio is 80% used to 20%
  8. free.  So then we don't want over 80% capacity used.
  9. If this should happen (and it will) you need to think
  10. about how to get some of the space back.

  12.     1. You can remove files that are no longer used.
  13.  
  14.     2. You can search for duplicate files.
  15.     
  16.     3. You can trim log files.
  17.  
  18.     4. You can add another partition or disk.
  19.  
  20.     5. You can link to other filesystems that have
  21.         space available.

  23. This is not in depth filesystem tutorial but a few 
  24. suggestions on some options you have to solve a 
  25. filesystem space problem.

  27. The Filesystem Menu gives you some information that
  28. can aid in your decision and options to do some
  29. maintainance on your Log files and that allows you
  30. to add/remove filesystems from the /etc/fstab startup file.
